Acupuncture has been a staple in Asian medicine for over 4,000 years.  Obviously it works!  It is difficult to understand how acupuncture works based on charts and other available information, but I have been having regular treatments on my hip and lower back for more than 5 years.  I feel like acupuncture, along with my exercises, has postponed hip surgery thus far.

The latest scientific studies have shown that acupuncture enhances production of the neurotransmitter adenosine by as much as 24 times, inhibiting pain transmission at the spinal cord level.

Our acupuncturist, Gordon Cohen, LAC, has produced many miraculous results with weekly and bi-weekly treatment of dogs and cats with conditions such as hip dysplasia, disc disease and posterior paresis (weakness).
